Many years ago I knew a wise old man by the name of Dr. Jensen. This kindly old physician had been treating cancer patients using herbal formulas for many years and his results were so much better that the accepted conventional procedures that people would sometimes wait for months for an appointment to have this healer treat them. So many hopeless cases had been successfully treated that this mans reputation became well known. Dr. Jensen lived in a small Europeans country where he practiced until his death in 1995. His techniques were based on a number of successful treatments that had been established both in Europe and in America. In establishing cancer treatments Dr. Jensen was interested in only one thing, did these methods work. If the explanations of how they worked were not known this meant little to him; he was only concerned with results, and results were what he got. During his life he made frequent trips to the Orient. It was during one of his visits to Bangkok Thailand that I first became acquainted with him. We met in a Chinese herbal shop where he was once more searching for additional herbs to help the sick. I was living in Bangkok at the time and due to our mutual interest we soon became close friends. I too had an interest in alternative cures for cancer and so we would frequently talk about this subject. When I first met him he was 94 years old and still actively practicing. His deminear was that of a 60 year old man for knew how to take care of his health. Over the period of our friendship he was kind enough to share with me his cancer treatments and so I have written them down and made them available to those that have an interest. The following are highlights from his writing and his discussions with me: Introduction: "Curing cancer naturally requires a lot of effort and participation from an individual. One has to want to get well and be willing to change their diet and their way of living. You will need to go from living to eat, to eating to live and this is not at all easy as we are all creatures of habit and dietary patterns are difficult to change. However the benefits of altering ones lifestyle may well prove to be lifesaving. Cancer unlike other diseases is not an invasion by a foreign bacteria that can be treated with with antibiotics or other prescription medicines. Cancer is rather a breakdown of the body's own immune system, its inability to identify or destroy the cancerous cells that are forming. Dr. Jensen treated the disease by building up the immune system and by modified his patients diet. The methods used were non-invasive, non toxic and relatively inexpensive. He called this approach herbal and dietary chemotherapy. A question often asked by those that have cancer is "why me" and the answer most often is: 1) Eating the incorrect foods that are difficult to digest and that have been robbed of their essential nutrients, vitamins and enzymes. 2) Ingesting toxic chemicals both from the foods that you eat, the water and liquids that you drink and the air that you breath.. 3) A lack of vitamins, amino acids, essential fatty acids, major minerals, trace minerals and anti-oxidants. 4) Exposure to free radicals from the food that you have eaten. 5) A build up of toxins in the body that are not eliminated causing excessive stress on the immune system." The human body is a very complex mechanism requiring the correct fuel for proper performance. The adulteration of our food chain has effectively guaranteed the removal of essential vitamins, trace minerals, enzymes, essential fatty acids and natural antioxidants while introducing thousand of unwanted, unnatural and toxic chemicals into our bodies. It is estimated that there are over 10,000 foreign chemicals that have found their way into our foods and many of these are carcinogenic. Consider powering this wonderful body that you have with chocolate bars, ice cream, French fries, pies, candy, potato chips, pizza, beer, soft drinks and the other assorted garbage that line the shelves of our grocery stores and it becomes quite apparent why our systems fail prematurely and why we get sick. While conventional medicine may provide a short term remission of cancer, and generally it does a poor job of even this, it will do little for long term survival for it is the body's immune system that provides the checks and balances for coping with cancerous cells and conventional cancer therapies weaken or destroy the very systems that can prove to control cancer. The information provided in this paper will : 1) Show you how to detoxify your body 2) Set the stage for a strengthening the immune system which will enable the body to cure itself. This is accomplished by supplementation with minerals, vitamins, amino acids and essential fatty acids. 3) Provide you with information on the natural cures that have been used for many years to combat cancer. 4) Provide you with information that will help you to minimize the toxic chemicals that you are now injecting. 5) Show you how to eat and what to eat. Knowing the information is the first step to treating cancer however applying the information that you read is the key to remission or recovery. Curing cancer and setting the stage for long term survival requires a lot of work on a sick patients part. Consider it a part time to full time job because one will be very busy organizing the supplements and the foods required to restore ones health. Understanding your immune system The body's immune system is an extremely complex mechanism that when functioning properly will eliminate toxins from the body and keep diseases such as cancer in check. I will briefly describe the complexity of this system as it is understood today and then you will have an appreciation of why it is so important to supply the body with vitamins, major minerals, trace minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids and enzymes. These are the fundamental building blocks for the immune's system functioning. The body produces stem cells in the bone marrow. Stem cells manufacture T cells and B cells. Cells that go through the thymus gland emerge as T cells. The B cells are influenced by the bone marrow and each B cell may have up to 100,000 antibody molecules attached to it. Antibodies have claw like arms that constantly feel the substances that they comes into contact with. Each antibody is highly specific, they can interact with only one type of foreign unwanted substance called an antigen. Obviously, we want the body to favor the production of antibodies that will recognizes and attach to the cancerous cells. When these antibodies find substances that are recognized as foreign, they latch onto these antigens and form what is called an immune complex. This then triggers various enzymatic reactions to take place one at a time. Nine separate reactions occur sequentially until a signal is given to the macrophage to engulph and digest the unwanted immune complexes. This occurs millions of time each day without our knowledge. In fact when each B cells has encountered its specific antigen for which it was created, it proliferates into a large clone of cells. Some of these cells are called plasma cells and live for a few days but during its brief life each of these plasma cells can produce additional antibodies at a rate of 2000 per second which are introduced into the circulatory system. At this time you may ask yourself, of what importance is all of this theory and what does it have to do with the treatment of cancer. When you have a realization of the complexity of the chemical reactions that occur in the body you will also realize that the foods that we ingest then must have the basic building blocks to supply to the body with the raw materials for the proliferation of the specific antibodies that latch onto cancerous cells. Additionally if the body is busy creating antibodies to counteract environmental or ingested toxins then it reduces the ability of our immune system to concentrate of the generation of the antibodies to combat cancerous cells. These complex chemical reactions all require the presence of trace minerals, essential fatty acids and enzyme. Enzymes play a very important part in the 9 chain reactions that occur in the body before and during destruction of the immune complex. Many enzymes are produced in the pancreas and secreted along the gastrointestinal track to break down the foods that we eat. The digestive enzymes that the body produces include, pepsin, trypsin, lipase and cellulase to help break down protein, carbohydrates, fats and fiber in the foods that we eat. The output of the pancreas is divided up between producing insulin, digestive enzymes and the metabolic enzymes. It is the metabolic enzymes that we want to favor for these are the ones that will aid in the destruction of the immune complexes, the cancerous cells. Studies done in Europe have shown that after taking protealitic enzymes there is an increase in macrophage up to 700% and an increase in T-cell activity up to 1300%. The immune system is the bodies main detoxification systems and if this is not working properly then debris, toxins and cancerous cells all start to accumulate in the body. The toxic immune complexes that have been broken down then need then to be eliminated from the blood and the lymphatic system. We will discuss this detoxification program later. Additionally, debris, food residue and toxic materials that have accumulated in the intestinal track put an additional load on the body's immune system reducing its effectiveness in correcting any metabolic disorders. We want to lavish the body with the necessary raw materials so that it can do its complex job of keeping us well. Then we want to open up the elimination organs in the body to enable the toxins to be discarded. Additionally we want to employ herbs that have a toxic effect of cancerous cells and encourage the generation of anticancer antibodies. This is how we conquer cancer. |
